Ingredients for 2 people:

Hamburger buns

1 piece firm tofu


tomato slices

creme fraiche

pinch of ginger



sesame oil





Mash tofu till crumbly. Add some chopped onions, a pinch of ginger, creme fraiche, sesame oil and honey. Season with salt and pepper. Mix well. In a frying pan, under medium flame, heat the oil. Put in the tofu mixture and add the chopped pumpkin. Panfry the mixture till crisp and golden brown. Slice your burger buns horizontally, put them for few minutes into the oven. Afterwards lightly butter both halves. You can also use other spreads like mayonnaise, wasabi, creme fraiche or mustard. Now it’s time to assemble your burger. Place some lettuce leaves and sliced tomatoes on top of the burger followed by your tofu mixture.

Dig in and enjoy ;). 

If you prefer to have a tofu burger with firm patties, just leave the creme fraiche out of your tofu mixture. Shape mixture into patties, and flatten them using your palms. Panfry the patties in one pan and the chopped pumpkin in another one. Place the patties in your burger followed by the chopped pumpkin.
